So after you type a number you see an on screen notification that numlock is going on and then off. What I believe happens is when you have numlock enabled on this pad and you type some numbers, it tells windows to turn on numlock, sends the numbers over, and then sends instruction to turn it back off. But for some reason it keeps on toggling the numlock switch. I bought it for work and to pair with my laptop. But for now I will keep the numpad with the gaming rig even though it has very little purpose. I will have to try it on my laptop using a wireless keyboard to see. I am not sure if it is because the keyboard on the laptop constantly overwrites the numlock. Surprisingly I don't have the same issues with the rig. Seeing as it doesn't work properly on my Microsoft Surface Book 2 for whatever reason, I decided to try it on my Alienware Aurora gaming rig which has a gaming mechanical keyboard without a number pad.
